Hello, I’m Giovanni, a former 2D Animation Supervisor bringing my visual craft into advertising as an Art Director.

I grew up in Prato, home to one of Europe’s largest textile districts and a city that has always reinvented itself by opening up to the world. I figured I’d do the same and leave. So, after an MA in Politics, I clearly went on to make cartoons in Belfast, then came back to lead international teams in Milan, before landing in advertising.

Off the clock, I’ve kept exploring through small projects, like writing a couple of short films, developing an animated feature, and building an NFT collection. No particular ambition, but at least I don’t talk about myself in the third person.

You’ll rarely find me at the extremes, as I’m a big fan of the grayscale. I’m fascinated by the anatomy of things in motion rather than still ones, because tiny imperfections make them feel authentic.
